Daedalus and Icarus

In the old times were people haven't yet build and have a concept of aeroplanes, helicopters, drones, and any object that can fly these days.People often dreamed of soaring and conquering the skies above that is believe to be the domains of the Gods and everyone whom dare lay their feet on it shall have their retribution by the Gods.Teaching them where they place in the world and one such man oblivious enough to try and do it was Daedalus and his son Icarus who was imprisoned by the king of crete king minos who gave him a punishment because of him creating a replica of a cow and aiding the creation of the most feared beast from crete. The replica of the cow was used by pasiphae  to procreate with the priced bull of king Minos and his kingdom. The king himself refused to offer to poseidon which is why Pasiphae was cursed to fall inlove with that bull as a punishment and later created a abomination of a child named the minotaur. It has a body of both a human and a bull being the bull part visible from the upper torso including the face and the lower half of the torso having a human feauture.because of this beast daedalus was punished and forced to create a labrynith underneath the depths of the earth to imprison the beast and later imprisoned to the highest peak in the island of crete Daedalus and Icarus planned to escape this tallest peak of crete with his genius mind Daedalus created two pairs of wings from wax and feathers fallen from the birds that soar  above their heads but with icarus stubbornes he disobeyed the warnings of his own father and defied the Gods themselves by crossing the boundary and received a punishment of melting the wax of his wings and  died falling from the heights he came from. This story of the ancient Greek have a major role in humans desire to conquer the sky above and led them to create mighty creations that can fly varying from the aeroplanes that are used for domestic use to mighty jetplanes and bombplanes used in war carrying loads of destructive devices. This foolishness and relentlessness to give up on your foolish desires and dreams i learned in this story is what i always loved about this story that foolishness to defy the Gods or the laws of nature that Daedalus showed just to achieve his dreams and for his son as well it was a magnificent sight to see if i was ever given such a chance i would love to gaze upon them although it's a fictional myth from Greek so it's unlikely to happen because Daedalus was willing to defy those almighty hurdles shackling them down just for his son but it's  too bad icarus died and perhaps that is their punishment.Well, back to the topic this curiosity and desire for more is such a great driving force that we can't altogether say it's bad rather it is bad if you use it for evil and do evil things just to achieve it.Unlike in the story daedalus became so greedy and anxious he killed his own nephew and icarus wanting to achieve more elevation he falled down because of their sin of greed they were both punished although  in icarus case it is not bad but rather he died as a punishment for his dad creating guilt in his dad's heart so bad  it can kill.Desire as i said before is not evil in itself but rather how we humans react to this feeling how we use it and such.So desire can become good and a inspiration or driving force for you to be willing to do things for your own as long as you don't step on other people for it.In fact that is how humanity thrive and become successful in conquering all the land, seas and the air by helping each other and altogether advancing beyond being prepared to risk all for their loved ones and dreams just like Daedalus and icarus with all their hearts and relentlessness no matter how foolish they look and how other people judge them and no matter it's almost laughable that to think in the end they almost sacrificed everything just to achieve their dreams and take flight
